Tips for a Successful Donation
Drink lots of water beforehand
Eat a good meal (avoid greasy foods)
Bring your photo ID
Get a good night’s sleep
Wear comfortable clothes with sleeves you can roll up
Answer health questions honestly
Relax — you’re making a big impact
Rest and snack after donating
Invite your friends — donating together is even better
- VapoCooling Spray is now available for donors who choose to use it. The quick topical spray temporarily numbs the skin before the needle is inserted, helping reduce discomfort during blood donation.

Each year, we award scholarships to outstanding students who demonstrate leadership and a commitment to saving lives.
